The overall objective of this work package is coordination of applications from lidar technology and demonstration of the impact of lidar technology on current wind energy industrial application – numerically or experimentally.
Identification of applications that may benefit from lidar application at design stage or during operation will be included.
The wind farm wake will be investigated and the wake dynamics analysis using nacelle-based lidar analysis for wind power performance in wind farms, turbulence on turbines and lidar-based turbine control.
Engineering and integration of lidar technology into applications. Exploitation of lidar technology by integrating current application design or operation with existing lidar instruments. The impact of the lidar on the design workflow will be investigated; the integration of lidar technology on the application operation will be examined.
