University and Institute:
Technical University of Denmark (DTU)
Start date:
1st May 2020
Background:
In 2012 I graduated from Northeastern University (China) with a bachelor’s degree in the area of Material Shaping and Control Engineering. From 2012 to 2016, I completed my master study in the School of Materials Science and Engineering of Tsinghua University and the faculty of Mechanical Engineering of RWTH Aachen University. After master graduation I worked as a CFD engineer in United Technologies Corporation, Carrier’s Research and Design Center and a Wind Resources Engineer in Shanghai Electric Wind Power Group (SEWPG) from August 2016 to March 2020. In my spare time, I like travelling, cooking, reading and doing sports.
Motivation:
For a long time I have thought about one question “What is the significance of a doctorate”? Getting a doctorate is not the end point. It does not mean that in the future one with a doctorate will be more successful than others, but what a doctorate can represent is that one can do almost all the technical and tricky things in the world if she or he wants. After this three-year study, I wish I could be such a person. By being involved in this systematic training and study from DTU, I can solve problems efficiently, conduct projects independently and turn the scientific achievements into real products.
