University and Institute
Fraunhofer Institute for Wind Energy Systems // University of Oldenburg, Institute of Physics

Start date:
16 March 2020

Background:
Since 2017, I am an Energy Engineer by the Technical University of Madrid, and since 2019, I have a Master´s degree in Renewable Energy in Electrical Systems by the University Carlos III of Madrid. Right after finishing my bachelor degree, I joined DNV GL, where I started my career in the wind industry as an engineer focused on wind resource and power performance measurements. After 2.5 years, my passion for continuous learning and personal development led me to Fraunhofer IWES, where I started my PhD. Here, I will face new challenges develop innovative ideas that aim to foster the wind energy growth. Beyond work, I enjoy travelling, doing sports and spending time with my family and friends.

Motivation:
Working on this PhD gives me the opportunity to collaborate with and learn from some of the top-of-the-line professionals within the wind energy industry, whilst being part of an international and outstanding project as LIKE. Therefore, it is a unique chance to acquire the competences that will help me to become a successful researcher in the field that really inspires me, and particularly, to foster my education on LiDAR systems, one of the most disruptive technologies within the wind energy industry in the last years.
